July 24th Festival Gospel Sing To Feature Many ell Known Religious Singing Groups Rundlett To Be Heard At St. Andrews By-The Lake Brewster Rundlett, outstand ing lay preacher, and lay read er, will be heard at St. Andrews by-the-Lake at Lake Toraway on Sunday morning, July 22nd, at 11:00 o’clock. Mr. Rundlett has served in the Diocese of South Florida and the Diocese of Atlanta. Bruce, as he prefers to be called, is a graduate of Bowdoin College. He attended the Insti tute of Human Relations at Yale. Mr. Rundlett was associated with the Coca - Cola company for more than 32 years and was Vice President of its Minute Maid division. It will be held at the Bre vard Senior High School audi torium beginning at 8:00 p. m., July 24th. Among the groups to be heard will be The Leona Owen Singers of Brevard, The Reve lation Quartet of Cashiers, The Happy Travelers of Can ton, the Britt Family of Bre vard, The Times Quartet of Asheville, the Gospel Melo dies of Brevard, and the Dotson • McLarty duet of Brevard Admittance is free. Various groups will sell records and music at the singing. Planning Board George Poor Promoted To /Meet Monday In Shipping, Receiving The regular monthly meeting of the Transylvania County Planning Board will be held on Monday, July 23rd, at 7:30 p.m. at the courthouse. Work will continue on the proposed land subdivision ordinance in preparation for the public hearing to be held on Monday, July 30th. Another item appearing on the agenda is the flood plain zoning ordin ance. The meeting is open to the public, and the Planning Board welcomes comments and sug gestions from Transylvania citizens. George W. Poor has been promoted to Assistant Superin tendent, Shipping and Receiv ing, in Olin Corporation’s Ecu sta Paper Division, according to C. K. Robbins, Manager of Materials and Distribution. He was a production worker in both the Film Division and the Ecusta Paper Division after joining Olin in September, 1954, and moved to assignments in cost accounting, data proces sing, scheduling, planning and inventory control.
